Glamor Lost by Roberto Scribner – Review

Thanks to Roberto Scribner for allowing me to be part of his ARC team for his upcoming Malhela Tetralogy.

I’ve read book one, Glamor Lost, and I’m part way through book two, Silent Canto. So far, this has been a really great read — though definitely not for the faint of heart!

Our protagonist, Malhela, begins life as a pampered princess, naive to everything beyond her small and sheltered reality. Throughout Glamor Lost, she is broken time and time again. From princess to nothing. From warrior to nothing. From love to nothing.

But every time she is broken, she comes back stronger.

Watching Malhela evolve from a sheltered princess into a force to be reckoned with has been one of my favourite parts of the story. By the end of book one, she’s become a true tour de force, with the potential to wrestle back control of the kingdom she loves.

I can’t speak for the full tetralogy yet, but based on Glamor Lost, I can definitely recommend it.
